Activated Carbons for Respirators and Human Protection

Chemviron Carbon is the leading producer of high quality grades of activated carbons used in individual and collective protection whether in warfare or on industrial sites all over the world.

Protection against toxic gases is one of the oldest applications of granular activated carbon. When chlorine and phosgene were used in World War I as military gases, masks and respirators containing carbon were developed to counter this threat.

Today the number of the chemical agents used in warfare and industrial sites has dramatically increased and become more sophisticated. Chemviron Carbon is continuously developing new products to address this threat.

  • Toxic Industrial Gases and Chemicals
  • Radiochemical gases and particulates
  • Chemical Warfare Agents
  • Combinations of Chemical Warfare Agents and Toxic Industrial Gases and Chemicals (First Responder)

ASC & ASCT

ASC are the standard NATO approved range of chromium, copper and silver impregnated carbons for personnel protection. These products are also approved in other countries for military and civilian use and for use in the facilities for the destruction of war gases.

ASZMT - Chromium-free product

ASZMT (Cooperite) is manufactured from selected grades of bituminous coal and offers individual and collective protection. The advantages of ASZMT include:
CHROMIUM-FREE - No disposal concerns.

URC - Chromium-free Industrial respirators

Universal Respirator Carbon is manufactured from selected grades of bituminous coal.  URC is an impregnated carbon that offers wide protection against toxic gases found at industrial sites. The benefits are ...
A2, B2, E2, K2 ... protection in ONE canister!

RESPCARB®

The RESPCARB® range includes a selection of base and impregnated carbons, typically based on coconut shell raw material, used for the removal of gases as specified by EN14387.
