ZORFLEX® Medical cloth is used in the manufacture of filters for vented Ostomy bags where odour containment is required. Its high performance to size ratio makes it ideal for this application. Currently available for a range of ostomy bag applications, typically Illestomy, Urostomy and Colostomy, these filters are designed to control the release of gases that can build up inside the bag while removing any odour as the gas escapes. There are 2 bag types of fixing the filters to the bag, heat sealable and self adhesive. Chemviron Carbon’s Cloth Division can offer both forms and for arrange of air flows to meet the differing needs of the customer or medical condition. |

ZORFLEX® Medical cloth when use as a filter has excellent performance when tested for Hydrogen Sulphide gas adsorption, which is typically used as the standard test method, however this is only part of the products capability and it is able to adsorb a much wider range of volatile organic chemicals that can be present in real life applications, thus giving the patient the best possible protection to odours, this in turn reduces the stress and embarrassment normally associated with this condition.
